Successful start of the Elite Program Tryout Camp of GPS SEE / Valencia C.F.

The Elite Program Tryout Camp of Global Premier Soccer South East Europe / Valencia C.F. was conducted between the 15th and 17th of September in Athens with absolute success, smiles and countless football tips. Talented players born from 2000 to 2007 lived a great football experience on the field, trained, got evaluated and listened to countless football tips on and off the field on what it takes to become a member of the famous Valencia C.F. Academy in Span.                                                      

In the presence of Antonio Navarro, the Valencia C.F. International Soccer Programs Coordinator, Antonio Hernandez, the Methodology Director Valencia CF Academy and Rafael Fernandez, Director of Coaching for GPS SPAIN, the 106 children who took part in the Camp showed their skills and listened to football as well as social advices based on the motto of the Spanish team’s Academy "we train people - we create footballers". The three-day program also included a coaching seminar for 45 coaches of the SEE / Valencia C.F. in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Global Premier Soccer Director of International Projects, Phillip Mitchell presented the unique opportunity that GPS and Valencia CF are providing in South East Europe together with Antonio Hernandez, who analyzed the coaching methodology by age category (from 5 to 18 years old), alongside Coaching Program Coordinators in Southeastern Europe, George Tolias and Mario Bonic,

GPS Southeast Europe Valencia CF Soccer Program aims to identify, train and develop the most talented young footballers in every region of Greece and Southeast Europe as a scouting network for Valencia C.F. To achieve this, the most talented kids will have the opportunity to enter the Elite Program and train on dedicated camps under the guidance of the highly qualified GPS Southeast Europe / Valencia C.F. coaching team. The Elite Program aims to best prepare and develop skilled young footballers so they can have the chance, if selected, to compete for a position at the Valencia C.F. Academy once they turn 16 years old.

After the first successful step that took place between 15th and 17th of September in Athens, new stages of the program will follow: 

2nd Stage: Selected players from Southeast Europe -NATIONAL TEAM

Those who will be deemed ready for the next step will be called (selected) to form the National Team of their Country. That team will train and face in friendly games the selected players from all the other countries in Southeast Europe in specially designed camps and international tournaments.


1 Selected Team per age group: 18 players per team

Trip to Spain: Friendly games with the Valencia C.F. Academy and GPS – Spain. Alternatively, participation on an official GPS Spain / Valencia C.F. tournament.


The GPS Southeast Europe Valencia C.F. Soccer Program aims to spread the famed Valencia C.F. image, philosophy and methodology of Valencia C.F. in every part of South East Europe and to provide the players in South East Europe with multiple opportunities and options through the GPS network. The program at its heart is about providing a complete football education and is concerned with developing people as well as players.
